Friends of Northumberland

Friends of Northumberland has been formed as a direct result of our work over many years with CPRE. We felt there was a need for a membership group which would support and promote Northumberland’s unique beauty and variety to a wider public, who may not be aware of CPRE.

Its aim is to encourage locals and visitors alike to join with us in recognising what we love about this part of Britain and to raise funds to support activities which complement CPRE’s campaigns, such as talks and slide shows to interested bodies like schools and societies, and social events in especially beautiful parts of our region. We want YOU to tell us what you would like to see and do – tell us about YOUR favourite special place.

We can come together to express our love of this beautiful county, and in coming together with like minded people, help to protect the countryside and make the most for ourselves of what it has to offer. Find out more about Friends of Northumberland and be part of a growing movement of walkers, cyclists and motorists who, like us, want to explore Northumberland – whether they live here or are just visiting.
